thanks for the tip. sadly i wasn't rootedand for some reson the google sync misses out certain contacts for some reason. i am pretty sure i backed up the contacts to the sd card, so i will just have to wait to find a card holder. i was wondering why i kept on loosing contacts when swapping phones (LG). i now have a xperia s which i have just rooted and upgraded to ICS, much better than the arc as it can handle the processing reqs of ICS.

Any tips on the missing google contacts would be most helpfull. ithink it might besomething to do with a new contact being put down as a phone contact rather than google. Wierd, could be me though.
