Santander app now says rooted phone

Went to use my bank app and now Santander reports my phone is rooted. I got a Sony update the other day so I guess it could be this.

Anybody else have this problem?

Can you get a root and safetynet checking app from playstore and check.

It's most likely not detecting root as such, but a safetynet fail.

just did this and it passed as NOT rooted AND safetyNet Passed.

Maybe the bank app has been updated lately

It has, I can't see much widespread issues of this nature, but that's not to say it isn't the cause.. there are a few people saying their android 6 devices can't log in..

Try an uninstall and reinstall of the app and see if this persists.

Then you might get in touch with Santander and ask them about this issue.

I bet they will have had many more clients who complained by now.
