Recharging time

Plugged-in at 8% battery left and it took 6 hours to get to only 65% so I gave up. Until now I plugged it in at around 15% (even so the recharching time was over 2 hrs). I restarted it turned it off but the recharging remained slow no matter what. And stamina mode was on from 15% level. Factory reset isn't an option for everything. The phone is up to date. Only 2 months of using.

What type of charger do you use? Have you checked with Ampere app for charging values?

@ghencea-RO 6 hours is a lot of time, you have for sure some app that keep running in the background and isn't allowing a full charge, what happen if you try to charge your phone while off?

Hi @ghencea-RO,

As @YoGem says, try charging it with the phone off. If there are background apps consuming a lot of power, your phone is going to charge slower. You can also test this by charging your phone while it is in safe mode as safe mode will start your phone without any third party apps loaded.

I'll try that too. Restarting the phone should close the app that consume the bat I think. Maybe that battery care should modify the charging also. Anyway the charger is the original one.

@ghencea-RO just restarting the phone may and may not help. Many apps are set to start automatically once the handset is rebooted. Try directly off or in safe mode.

The standard charger will be slow, but not to the point of recharge half battery in 6 hours! Something is wrong, of course may be also the charger.. do you have any other spare charger with you?

Along the same lines, a damaged cable can also cause an issue with the charging speed. Sometimes swapping that out can help too.
