Backup and restore not working

I backed my phone up earlier today before factory resetting it as advised by o2 to fix the software problem I was having. When the phone came back on I logged back into my google account and was told my phone will just restore everything but it hasn't! The only thing what has come back is my WhatsApp conversations and pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What else is missing? and how did you backed up the phone?

Contacts, pictures, videos, messages and the man in the o2 shop did it then I backed up again just before I factory reset it. It just says 'no file to restore'

That's a pity.

Normally it should restore all your contacts and more at ease.

Next time make several backups:

using Google backup
using Xperia Backup & Restore
using Xperia Transfer Mobile
using Xperia Companion
