Usb otg not working since oreo

Hi if you are on the latest oreo and using Xperia x compact pls can you all test otg!

I cannot use it as the MTP option isn't available, so when I plug USB otg in it does not detect.

No problem with charging

Also MTP option is not available on connecting to pc, only Transfer protocol for moving data.

I was able to use it b4 updating but only been able to test it today as the otg usb stick broke b4 updating. So 1st attempt at using otg after updating and this problem arose 😞

Just connected my USB stick via USB-C adapter cable to my X Compact:

It was detected immediately and I could access the files on it, so no problem here with OTG.

By the way, I'm on 34.4.A.2.32.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not on that version mine is on 34.4.A.2.19I will just wait 4 next update and see how it goes

Well I have done a software repair and still no USB otg on version 34.4.A.2.19

Some1 must have this problem, I've been using otg since I got the Xperia X Compact but broke my otg adapter before updating then when a new otg adapter came I was unable to use it since oreo version 34.4.A.2.19 please help 😞

Some1 on oreo version 34.4.A.2.19 please test

Are u on oreo version 34.4.A.2.19??

May I ask, have u even connected a otg cable/adapter??? Otg attached but no response (^_-)

Thanks for the reply but I needed otg testing with as many people as possible on version 34.4.A.2.19 only as this is the version I'm having the issue with

34.4.A.2.19 on X with perfect otg connection

Software is the same

Seems more and more a hardware issue.

The OTG works fine on my devices as well. Running the .19 software and using a 1$ adapter from a chinese website.

I did purchased a cheap adapter thinking it would work but not compatible I suppose This is what I got, but doesn't work for xperia x compact

It isn't faulty tho as it works in my wife's phone which is a Samsung a5 2017.
