No bass with tv

Hi all,

I have got soundbar sony ht-s350, which was working fine with my old non smart TV and fire stick. Bass was amazing. Yesterday I connected the soundbar to my new 65 Sony lcd TV, kd65xh8196bu, and bass is almost unnoticeable. Does not matter if I connect it with arc hdmi or optical toslink. Help 😞

Hi,

It shouldn't make much difference if you connect via ARC or TOS Link.

Please try if setting the digital output of the TV to PCM improves the bass sound.

I did mean I have already tried to connect the soundbar using hdmi arc and toslink. Both do not really work. The bas us almost unnoticeable. If I connect the soundbar to the old TV with fire stick or i connect my mobile phone through Bluetooth the bass shakes my house. So the problem is between TV and soundbar. They are both Sony but do not like each other. I tried to find any sensible settings in tv, with no success. I found equaliser but is works only with internal speakers

Have you tried changing the Sound mode? There should be a separate Dolby mode that you can try.
