A80J, A83J, A84J Oleds

Wondering does anyone have any solid info on what the actual differences are between these models?

On an avforums podcast interview with sony they stated the only difference is the a84j, a83j models have a built in mic into the tv for google services while the a80j does not.

However on sony website and many retailer websites when you compare the models it also says the a84j and a83j have "rich color enhancer" while the a80j does not.

Does anyone have any clue what this rich color enhancer is?

I know the USA only get the a80j model, does that have a built in mic or rich color enhancer?

I believe the "Rich Colour Enhancer" is just part of the feature set the new XR processor handles, if a Sony rep said so in an official capacity, then the spec sheet is just missing that on the A80J.

Especially when "Rich Colour Enhancer" is shown under "Picture (Processing)".

Hi 

Yes I sent emails to Sony but no reply.

Both TVS are using the exact same XR processor, with the same firmware and same mediatek soc etc.

And again just got another generic email from sony telling me to look at the specs on the site!

with not actually answering my question..

They seem to have misunderstood your question. Try sending both A80J and A84J spec links in your email to clear things up (and to show that you have looked at them of course).

"Rich colour enhancer" is part/explaination of the "OLED Contrast marketing label.

so both models have it all. Only big difference as you said is the mic built in or not.
