Hi,
I think it was yesterday that iPlayer wouldn't open.
We left it overnight (in case it was tired but it still isn't working.
Has anyone else had this recently?
I've tried all the usual tricks, turning off and back on again, but I don't fancy doing a full reset unless I know for certain there is no other way.
Regards,
Paul
Hi @Pebbleridge,
You can try these troubleshooting steps:
- Press on settings > Apps > LiveTV & CatchUp > Uninstall updates, Force Stop.
- Press Home > LiveTV & CatchUp > Apps > BBC iPlayer
- Make sure that your TV is on the latest update
If the issue remains, the final option is performing a factory reset: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00274122?link-header
Hi,
Thanks for your suggestions, which are "similar" to the advice I received from Sony technical support.
I tried everything but one thing that Sony suggested I hadn't tried and that was to physically unplug the TV for a few minutes.
Base on their advice but expanding it to incorporate my thoughts (it might be network related, even though the TV said the Internet was OK) I also physically unplugged my Broad band, router and network switch.
I turned everything back on and it iPlayer is now working again.
So fingers crossed I have now resolved the issue.
Thanks for your advice I have noted the options you gave in case of future problems.
Regards,
Paul
