Netflix and Bravia voice assistant

Long story short, I have spent a long time figuring out why the voice assistant in my Sony A87 cannot be used to control Netflix. I can ask the weather, search the internet and even make the TV play The Mandalorian on the Disney Plus-app. However, it refuses to do anything related to Netflix other than opening the app. If I use the voice assistant to "Play Stranger Things on Netflix" it'll suggest YouTube-videos and internet searched related to the title.

Netflix + Google Home are linked, all software is updated, tried reseting to TV's factory settings, the works ...

I've searched online and have not found succesful results hence why I'm trying here. Sorry if this has been posted before.

It could be a compatibility issue rather than a fault. Are you sure the TV supports running commands within Netflix that are dictated by Google Home?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I think you are right in saying that it is a compatibility issue rather than a fault. I'm not sure that neither the TV or the Netflix App from Sony support the voice command. However, given the fact that the TV is an Android TV with "netflix calibrated picture mode" and a huge Netflix button on the remote, I would assume that the TV's voice control is able to work within Netflix. Especially considering that it works so well with the Disney+ App and YouTube. I think that's so weird, that the TV and Netflix is not able to work together like the TV does with the Disney+ App, etc.
