Sony Android TV keeps switching back to app screen and won’t stay on selected channel

Today my Android Sony TV has started to play up.  Every time I switch it on it starts up showing the app screen,  When I changed channels it goes to the channel and within seconds it changes back to the app screen.  Any suggestions as to what is the problem and what I need to do to rectify the issue please ?

Mine sorted itself out the next day -was certainly a pain at the time

Seemingly random - just turned on the next day and was back to normal
