‘TV’ button not returning to TV mode from Home Menu on KD49XD8305

After using Apps on Home Menu ( eg You Tube app), trying to return to normal TV mode using the ‘TV’ button will More often than not.. fail. 

giving a blank screen....that eventually causes the TV to reboot.

The reboot causes the TV to go straight back to the Home Menu, on pressing the TV button again at this point the TV will eventually go back into TV mode..

Thoughts or ideas gratefully accepted......

This could could be resolved with something as simple as unplugging the TV from the mains for a few minutes or by following these steps:

Settings - Storage and reset - Internal storage - Cache - Clear

(Or a combination of both).

Let us know how it goes.

Well......

cleared cache.

Turned TV off and on again at wall socket...

also re ran setup ( only become I clicked on it by mistake)..🙄

and so so far so good... it’s behaving itself...

Well that was short lived..

lasted about a week before it started refusing to return to TV mode again.

Retried clearing cache.. no change..

Re ran initial set up... seems to be working again... for a while!
