Hi everyone,
I'm having some of issues with my audio setup, just to give context: I got Sony X900H where HDMI 3 is plugged into Denon 2600H receiver( supports eARC ) and in HDMI 4 a PS5 in plugged in, both units have enhanced mode turned on.
On the TV eARC in enabled on auto 1 and audio passthrough is also turned on. On the ps5 it's set to Receiver audio output 5.1 and linear PCM. Usually it seems to work just fine with correct 5.1 sound but sometimes when I turn the TV and ps5 on sound good all messed up and sounds like metallic static as if the sound is completely distorted. If I switch from LPCM to DTS/Dolby and back to LPCM all's working fine again. Is this an issue with TV or receiver? as it appears I had the same issue with PS4.
Thank you
Have you tried a different HDMI cable? I'd recommend disabling the eARC on the TV to see if the issue will occur or make sure that the enhanced format is enabled by following the steps here.
