HDR-CX625 stuck on loop when powering up

My HDR-CX625 camcorder, not even four months old, will not turn on.  It just sticks on the "Handycam" opening screen, loops three times then turns itself off.  I have checked Sony for help and they won't even repair it, they just say things are "in-warranty exchange" and are not economic to repair.

Does anyone have any guidance on how to fix this?

Hi,

Apologies for the delay in responding.

The shop I purchased the camera from have now agreed to replace it so I will have a working camera from tomorrow.  However, I can confirm that there is no way to externally power the camera without a battery attached.

This is the second CX625 camera I have had and both have died with the exact same issue.  I am hoping this third one on the way does not do the same.  I have no idea what the problem is or what the cause of it is so it is impossible to try and avoid it somehow.

Hi,

Try the following:

- Disconnect the power source, attach the power source again after about 1 minute, and turn this product on.

-Initialize if you can get the menu:
