Data Traffic does not connect to internet. Wi-Fi is fine. But can not access Internet Otherwise

Hello, I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc which I puchased unlocked. I live in the United States and use At&t as my wireless and phone service. I had this problem about a year ago, and but found a related thread at the time that helped me get back on. The Wi-Fi on the phone works just fine, but I can't use my mobile data plan to access the internet without Wi-Fi. I have gone to Settings>Sony Ericsson>Internet Services, From there it says my phone will now connect to the internet. It then gives me the choice to choose At&t, H2O Wireless USA or Red Pocket US. I choose ATT, but it says "Could not download settings. Retry?".....this becomes and endless cirlce of yes, ok, yes. ok, yes, ok. At&t is useless they won't have anything to do with me since I purchased the phone unlocked online. Help me please!? Thanks.

Sounds good, I'll keep my eye out for it. But it doesn't do me good now.

However, I dug this up. and it works. This answer was provided by uniwooly-wooly
