Hi, I have Sony Experia S and have updated to ICS 4.0.4

After repair by SE dealer because it froze white updating, the running PlayNow app. is now in Chinese language and cannot change to English.  Also market.app has disappeared.

How can I get restore them back? Thanks

how did you updated your Xperia S? did you flashed it? you probably have the Chinese firmware and that's the reason you don't have the Play store/market app,.

either sideload the app or just flash the global generic firmware

Thanks for prompt reply. Sorry I am a slow learner for Experia S but love the phone. Don't know what you mean by and how to "sideload the app. or flash the global firmware." Also cannot uninstall McAfee app. Cando without it and can't subscribe fees anyway because of USA Financial sanctions on Myanmar :smileysad:.   Hope you can help the above minor issues  Thanks

slimshaddy, thank you for posting that list! I've deleted some of those apps using Root Uninstaller and now I feel my Live with Walkman lightning fast! Slightly_smiling_Face

I would like to know if it's possible, after deleting some heavy weight apps like Whatsapp, Facebook or Google Maps, to install them in the SD card. It's not really clear for me in the instructions above Thinking_Face Or can they be moved otherwise without uninstalling them first?

Any help will be appreciated.

Nopes, such apps couldn't be moved to memory card by any means.
