I'm writing about my X8 that I've upgraded from Android 1.6 (Donut) to Android 2.1 (Eclair) between yesterday and today. I regret that with the upgrade a lot of "alarm tones" are gone, including one in particular which is so cool, I can't remember the name but that begins with "multi" - it's a combination of more tones (drin, chicken, bell, etc.).
I did a regular backe up rand restore but I don't think those wake-up tones are normally backed up or considered in the backup process.
I'm asking you what I can do to have back what I had but seems to have been lost with the upgrade. Now the mobile phone's alarm ringtones available are very few and I think a upgrades should add, not remove.
Thank You guys!
Any help would be very appreciated.

My alarm tones are on my SD card and therefore should be unaffected by the update. I have the 2.1 and there is a multi one there still.
Maybe get file manager and have a look on your SD card under Alarms to check whether you still have them.
I wonder if the alarm set up has changed (I don't use it personally) if you set up an alarm and then select Alarm Signal it gives you a listof available tones.
Hi Suze and thank you for your help. Sorry for the delay but I could not check with the mobile phone until today. I've followed every suggestion you gave me such as trying to use File Manager, to look on the SD card (I couldn't see "alarms" under it) but no alarms seem to be there. In the phone I only have seven and some of them are very similar to each other:
Alarm, BeeBeep Alarm, Beep-Beep-Beep Alarm, Buzzer Alarm, Piezo Alarm, Ringing Alarm, Rooster Alarm.
That's it...everything else is simply gone and I might be wrong but also I think some ringtones are.
Do you know any site where I can get those Sony Ericsson alarm tones?
That's where I've realized the alarm tones were gone, unfortunately.
The only other thing I can suggest is to download an app like Zedge which is free on the Android market or on your pc http://www.zedge.net/. It has millions (well maybe slight exageration!) of ringtones/notification tones/wallpapers. There is bound to be something on there that you like.
Yes, I had already visited www.zedge.net and looked for that "multi..." alarm tone but couldn't find it. Maybe knowing the exact name would help, do you mind writing its name (since I think you've got that tone)? Also, would it be legal to send a tone to a person who had it (so basically paid for it) but lost it with an upgrade?
Thanks!
Awright!
I have the same problem.. I have lost the multi alarm, among others.. Can you share with us how you've solved it?
Cheers,
