No Widget available for non-Gmail e-mailaccounts

Dear Support,

I recently purchased the Sony Xperia S. However, it seems to be not possible to create a Widget for my Hotmail account. I already upgraded my Android software to the most recent update (4.0). Can someone please help me out on this one? Thanks in advance.

If you download the hotmail app from app store it comes with a widget
