Problem in Camera function with 'Auto Flash' and 'Flash on' modes on.

I have installed latest OS version (4.0.4) available for Xperia P and I'm having problem in the Camera function, when the camera flash is set on 'Auto' or 'Flash On' it doesn't flashes at correct time, and so the photo taken appear very dark and sometime black too. Even having a 8 MP camera and Exmor sensor for mobile camera, it is useless for taking pictures at night. So how to solve this problem?
