Problems with Facebook App on new Xperia Mini ST15i

Hi, i'm having problems with the facebook app on my new Xperia Mini (ST15i) it seems to want to sync with my contacts and calendar etc (the old version on my x10 mini just sync'd notifications etc) I don't want it to sync my calendar with facebook (I don't even have a calendar on facebook (that I know of)???) why does it want to do this i'm confused!

Please can anyone shed some light on this.

you do have a calendar w/ fb, it has your friend's bdays, parties, concerts, etc

go to settings -> account & sync -> tap on facebook -> uncheck pictures, calendar, etc

when I uncheck pictures, calendar in the settings it causes an error and wont sync at all

that doesn't sound right, turn off your phone -> take the battery out -> press and hold the power button (w/o the battery) put it back on and turn it on

Uliwooly's post is correct. At those settings you can set what to sync from Google, Facebook etc.
