evening,
I have just received my xperia arc s and i am fasinated. beautiful item. but i have one issue with it. the site states the phone has 512 ram, but right now i went to see the application usage and it only states 2xx using and 6x free of ram. if im correct the numbers only add up to 300 ish of ram?
how is that so? it lags so often that i have to use advanced task killer nearly now and then.
is there an alternative way to solve this? or did i got a fake phone?
thanks in advance

Here is the final word on RAM:
- The Xperia arc does contain 512MB RAM.
- There is an amount taken by the Android OS that will not be accounted for in apps. designed to show statistics.
- The amount of RAM available for user apps. can vary based on customization and branding.
Short and simple. I will be x-posting this in other arc/RAM related threads.

btw i have one more quick question.
when ever i lock the screen then go back to it, theres always something opened after i unlock the screen.
ex. i returned to my home page, then lock the screen. 5 mins later i unlock the screen, and im at the internet homepage already.
if you left an app open it will remain open, now, if you leave the phone in your pocket, chances are that as you walk you slide the lock and press an icon
you can avoid this by adding a pattern lock
settings -> location & security settings -> set up screen lock -> pattern or Pin or Password
