Recently I bought Xperia Neo V.. I was very dissapointed after knowing that it does,nt support video calls.. Even Samsung Wave with Bada OS suppports video calling. But very surprised that my phone does'nt support the same. Please let me know if there is any software update for the support of video calls provided by SE.. It would be very helpful for all SE customers.

I am surprised The neo v has the same software as the neo just download skype but firat you have to set up an email account with Google you can do that from your computer once done set that email address into google on the phone. then go into market and download skype. Just a point to mention Skype only have developed software for 4 phones all the others may do skype but with problems could be a video problem or sound. the xperia neo is one on the list that is why I bought it and I was very impressed with the end result video talked with a friend in Rio de Janeiro from UK for 2 hours and not one problem "very impressed" Just one point I went through 4 phones and 3 tablets before I used the xperia neo
3G video calling is not supported in Android right now but android Icecream sandwich will support. For that the handset shud also support 3G video calling. I have heard that neo V will get Android ICS update. So will we be able to make video call in Neo V with android ICS atleast ??
who said that? Android does NOT support video calling over 3G the only phones that do are Samsung Galaxy SI and SII
Who told you that Android 4.0 will?
I have been browsing to many forums asking this questions of video calling on UMTS/3G. and I found that only Samsung has done that till now on android platform. SE really sucks in this area. I felt that since this phone is having front camera it will support video calling over UMTS but since it have made for the region where there is is more stress on 3g data plan like US and other countries it supports video through Gtalk and skype. But the big question is when samsung is able to do it why not Sony.
SE please wake up. Also Google is not giving this feature in android where as symbion was having this from very ling time, the only reason I see for this is Google was to promote Gtalk and keeping this issue open for long time. Here is the link::::::

Also if any one is interested i think this is the development going on in this regards
you should consider the samsung galaxy SI since its the only phone that is capable of this, no other android can.
and the new Xperias don't have this option not even the new Samsungs
Yes i have the same phone(Sl i9003) but i have gifted this phone(Neo V) to my brother since he is SE lover. I presumed that since the Neo V has a front cam so it will support the video call and we can do video call as bsnl is providing cheap video call on UMTS. But my 17K gone in drain i think as neo v dont support video tephony..
I hardly doubt any other android phones will support this besides the galaxy SI since HD video calls are the new trend
Well in that regard i would like to mention that all samsung android phones with front end camera( s, sl, s2, R) the have native video calling dialer which uses UMTS for video calling.
Very bad idea... under UMTS video calling other phone should not have a skype... or may have android or any other OS, or it may be a java phone... having a video calling using UMTS thus SE should do a work around on this.
please i have moved from samsung to sony ericson , i tought that since the camers is infront that one would be able to make video calls is there some way you can add this. i have been using samsung and for the past six years and they had video calling since that time.
