x10 mini pro: music player - music skips

I have an Xperia x10 mini pro running 2.1-update1

Have loaded music on the unit, but songs skip when played.   Just a few seconds, about every 10 secs.  Radio plays fine.

Suggestions?

Does this happen with music on the memory card, phone memory, or both?

Have you tried transferring your music from PC to phone using Media Go?: http://mediago.sony.com/enu/download

The music is transfered to the memory card using Media to go.   Have used Media to go with my W995a, to the memory card, without any problems.

In that case, there could be a problem with the memory card, so you can try formatting the card, after backing up its contents of course.

Reading your suggestion, was a "Duh!" moment, as there were other odd behaviors and the card was orignally formatted on a SE Vivaz.   My intentions were always to reformat, but it worked and never got to it.

So reformatted the card with the X10, but it took two attempts.   The phone was still unstable, rebooting from time to time (see my other question), so played some musical chairs with my memory cards and replaced the 8GB SDHC card with a 2GB card, which I formatted on the X10.   Phone now behaves, so loaded up a gig of songs and all seems to be working quite well 

The manual does state any restrictions in the SD card size, so don't know if it's an issue with th card or the size.   Regardless, good suggestion and it appears to be working fine.
