xda develepor removed the different countries ftf files 
i mean it had a file for india genric now i cannot download it..
i have the global generic but still...
what to do now ??
i downgraded to 2.3.3 global and updated ota to 2.3.4 and now some users say that they have updated officialy in india..
now i wish to go back to 2.3.3 indian genric so that i can remain on india generc 2.3.4......
I'll look for it and see if I can find it

How to install it
You need to
go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources
download IO File Manager

download the backup & restore app, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it
Contacts
just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already
open your phonebook
press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email
on your computer
-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import
Apps
Don't worry so much about backing up your apps
on your computer go to
market.android.com -> log in -> click on My Library -> and send all your apps to your phone
SMS/MMS
if you don't want to use the backup & restore app then
Install "backup SMS" to back up your SMS and MMS to your Gmail

open "Apk Manager" and voila select the apps that you wan't to install
let me make it simpler how to install the Backup & Restore app
download the apk on your computer, send it to yourself through email, make sure you send it to your Gmail
now on your phone
go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources
wait for the email, once you get the email, open it, and instead of downloading the attachment it will allow you to install it, voila, done
