Team,

I had recently updgraded my Android Firmware from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 & I have observed that the screen lock & unlock animation (the TV Tube effect) that had been there prevously is missing, and when checked up with the SE service centre, they confirmed that an OS degradation is not possible.

Are there any patches available from Sony Ericsson, which would bring back that feature?? b'coz that had been a cool feature from SE.

I am certainly, looking for a solution from SE, there have been many solutions posted on various other forums, but their solution applies only if the fone is rooted, & I am certainly unwilling to go by that risky solution as it may void the warranty of the phone.

I also have observed that there have been many other users, who are discontented about this miss from the upgraded Gingerbread version. So, on their behalf too, kindly take some necessary action on the same... team.

After few software updates, Sony Ericsson added "new features" BUT they haven't fixed others

1) ambient light sensor

yeah, I know the title of the thread, but I don't know about you but I'm certain that everybody rather have those issues solved over a crt animation. and that issue can be added to the list

btw it's not the first nor the only time, nor the last time a thread starts with one topic and molds into something related or unrelated to the title

Hello, how are you doing?

Sorry for bringing this up on your thread, but this is something that has been on my mind recently:

I just bought the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini (my Android version is 2.3.3) and something happens when I turn on the screen (press the Home or the on/off button): instead of the screen lightning up instantly, it goes up on a "2-step" procedure. I don't know how to explain exactly, but here's a video that demonstrates well what I'm talking about:

At 0:30 he will turn on the screen, and you can see that the screen slightly "blinks" before turning completely on.

Does that happens with you? What's your Android and region version?
