cursor jumps back several lines in middle of typing

my pcgfx301 has done this for ages...basically when I am typing all of a sudden the cursor will jump back a few lines
and types in the middle of an earlier word/sentence...it does this regularly, doesnt seem to be other viruses

Hi James,

It could be connected to your typing problem but try this first.

Go to Control Panel -> Mouse and look through the Tabs. You need to find the one to 'Turn Off Tap when Typing' and check the box beside it. If you see 'Use Web Assistant' then turn that off.

thanks for replying...I couldnt find turn off tap but found turn off cursor while typing...Ive tried this and so far it seems to be working so thanks for that...sometimes the problem disappears for a while and then comes back again so touch wood...it has been around almost as long as I have had the computer so dont think it is related to the other problem
