Ebapi Program and tray icons?

Hey all i have an S3 XP and having more probs

Im having problems printing images from either Photoshop or Windows printing wizard, BTW i have an Epson printer. First of all it opens up the window as nortmal saying its printing , ready to go to the print preview wiewer by epson but does nothing and i have to end the task via the task manager and normally i have to reboot to make it print. However on shutdown it wont let me reboot until i tell it to TWICE after popping up a window to end task/process therefore losing any unsaved data, so whats going on?

Whats the ebapi program?

also my Safely remove hardware and LAN icons in my start bar tray doesnt seem to be there now! and not even an arrow showing its hidden (no arow at all)

....and finally when i run a Steam Game lke counterstrike it sometimes wont shut it down completely and my CPU Usage performance goes to 100% when i have exited the program as normal, and so i have to reboot to get the performance of the machine back
any ideas

EBAPI.DLL is Epson specific and may be corrupted. Try uninstalling your printer, reboot, and then reinstall.
However, the other symptoms that you report are more worrying ¿ have you scanned for viruses/malware recently?

Hi

It's a bit of a long shot but have you scanned for spyware etc? I've had a look round google and the only references that included the Ebapi program seemed to be associated with spyware and viruses.

Other than that, have a look on the Epson home page for any patches or updates
