typing issues, not everything comes on the screen as i type

i have had this vaio now a while (March/April) and at first i thought i was typing wrong which seem'd a bit strange since i type all the time at work and there is nothing wrong with that!!! but then i noticed as i type there are errors and not from me, the vaio (VGN-FE41Z) seems to be making the errors such as not making spaces when i hit the space bar and the a especially is terible in certain applications.
is this a problem with the vaio or with vista???
does anyone else have this problem?
how can i solve this?
do i have to return yet another vaio?
appriciate a response from anyone who thinks they might know what is going on
many thanks in advance

Hi Steve-L,

In that case try disabling all Add-ons in IE7 and see whether this solves the problem.

Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Disable Add-ons.

You can then re-enable each Add-on in turn, if you so wish, to identify the culprit.

If that has no affect then I suggest that you try a re-install if IE7.

Hello,
I confirm, its a problem with IE7 only, everything's normal with Firefox.
I'll take care of the add-ons and ask you again if i have problems!
Thank you Rich912

Good luck calikid.

Please let us know if you can identify the Add-on that causes this problem as it will be of help to other members.

I sabled all of my addon nd thepoblem is stil thre (just look at ths sentence to see what I mean!)

Typing this bit in notepad. As I tried to say above - I have disabled all of the add-ons that are listed under the "currently loaded in Internet Explorer" section and the problem is no better. Do I need to disable everything in the other sections and the active-x controls too?

Can't uninstall/re-install IE7 in Vista as it comes with it as standard.

Bloody annoying :slight_frown:

Hi Steve-L,

I assume that you re-booted after disabling all Add-on's annd are certain that add Add-ons are disabled?

I cannot think of anything apart from either an Add-in or malware that would cause this problem.

I suggest that you stick to Mozilla as this is a better and faster browser anyway

Yes, I hate to admit defeat but for the time being this one has me stumped - I even tried disabling "protected mode" but it didn't make a blind bit of difference. Shame as I really like IE7 but until they bring out a patch to fix this problem I'll be sticking with Firefox.
