Vaio VPCEJ Wifi / Network Issue. Please help! : )

Hi

My sony Vaio Laptop can no longer find, let alone connect to any Wifi connections at all and no YouTube video or Sony Manaul has been able to help. The wifi switch on the front of my laptop is on and all other devises in the house are connecting and functioning fine, however the internet icon on the bottom is showing an ethernet cable logo with a red cross as supposed to the usual wifi bars/signal strength. The only solution the help centre gives me is to connect to the router by ethernet cable but that just allows me to manual connect to the interent temporaily. 

I'm totally stumped as no downloads, updates or crashes accured so this has happened overnight, entirily on its own.

Hi Duke,

Not sure if you've tried this, but did you try reinstalling the related drivers on your machine and reinstalling them? Maybe also check for a recent system restore point that you can use to roll back the system to a time before the issue started?

If your laptop can find other networks, but not your own, then maybe you can try connecting to another one (You can always create a wifi hot spot with your phone for that) and to test the laptop itself because if that works then I don't think anything is wrong with your VAIO.

Thanks for your response. Do you know which driver i'd need to reinstall? I tried installing the 64bit one from this support page but got lost with no instructions I have to admit. 
I did try a system restore but it did not seem to fix the isssue. I will try again to an earlier point but it does take an aweful long time so will have to bare with me. 
If you could link to a download I need to install, then I'd certainly give it a go!
