Hi
I am working with a Vaio VGN SZ1 XP/C. Perfect laptop just the fan in noisy and running nonstop even when only working with office programs. Is this normal ? Anybody having the same experience ? In some magazine I read that this laptop is so quiet, well not mine.

Single core processors is between 78C and 90C depending on the particular processor you have.

I am afraid it can. Reason really is that there is no fan on the CPU like there is in a desktop so they fit a copper pipe to it and then a fan cools that at the vent. This isn't the most effective thing in the world but there isn't really any other option really.

If it has shut off because of heat you may consider investing in one of these .
