Aux Cable audio output problem

My iPod broke so thought I'd try using my Sony Xperia Z3 as a media player in my car (SEAT). Have transferred my songs to a microSD card. Using headphones sounds fine but when I plug it into the car using AUX the sound is such poor quality (very quiet and crackling) I wouldn't want to listen to it. Have tried iPhones using the same cable and works fine so not the cable.

Even when I try with the USB the car either says device error or just stays on Media loading - have tried putting it in mass storage mode to just access the SD card.

At the very least would like to get decent sound through AUX, any ideas?

It's normal if You have android lollipop and turn volume to max on z3 try lowering to about 50-60%, or for playing music don't use sony's stock music player, use black player it use own audio driver not sony and volume is much louder and better, I have same problem on cable and bluetooth headphones using sony player, maybe on android marshmallow it will be better like it was on kitkat.

Hi,

That sounds strange. Do you have the possibility to connect your phone with the same AUX cable to another stereo or similar to see if same behaviour appear?
