battery draining too fast in sony xperia z

Dear sony users/support,

Battery draining issue is so critical that I have to always carry my charger with me need an plug socket near me

Most of the day if i use it for 1-2 hour than i have to think about if i have to take a long call.

if i have to disable all its functions and use only calling and sms than for what I have spent my money on sony

Sony must give me any solution for this major issue as I m unable to enjoy too long my sony xperia z

kindly go to one of the existing threads here about battery and stamina - use the forum search

There is plenty of info - here are a few tips

remove all 3rd party task managers - battery apps - memory managers - antivirus

Live wallpapers will soak up battery - remove them

Turn off sync

Turn on stamina

Turn down screen brightness

take a look at battery usage and see what is using the most power

Things not to do without access to charger otherwise expect less than 6 hours battery - GPS - Watch Movie - Play High End games (2 hrs battery)

you get the idea - this is a smart phone as powerful as some laptops

I upgraded to new firmware and getting lesss back up now after full charging

as i use it for 10 minutes battery % decreased fastly from 100% to 97%

there's nothing wrong with your phone, if you believe there's something wrong and/or don't like the suggestions take your phone to a Sony repair center.

i think i have an taste of using nokia phones its my first time i switched to sony. I think u r right for me i will use it as it is. I m a working guy travelling all the time outstation thats why seeking any solution if it can help me more

I found my phone fine now for its battery power is stable now.

I found that this smartphone needs a smart use.

Same happens to me, I connect the phone to the charger and still the battery is consumed if I use applications

my "old" Z holds the charge maximum 1 day, my new *** (i dont call it :smileywink:) makes 3-4 days with 1 carge and self usage (all gimmicks like full enabled).

i think it is a software problem, maybe it gets better with 4.2
