The easiest way to get access to the phone again if you cannot remember the password for the screen lock is to repair the software on the phone using Xperia Companion and a computer. Keep in mind though that since you are not able to access the phone, you will need to start the repair with the phone detached from the computer and mark the checkbox named "My device cannot be detected or started, or is a Smartwatch 3".
If you are not able to use Xperia companion you can us Googles service called Find My Device in order to get rid of the screen lock. Simply log in on the page using your Google credentials, click on your Z3 compact if you have several Android products and choose "Erase".
Keep in mind though that both these measures will reset the phone to factory settings, so all user data will unfortunately be lost.
