The lower half of the Xperia Z3 touchsreen doesn't react. At the unlock screen I can only use 1-6, the 7-0 do not react at all, so that the phone cannot be unlocked with the PIN I set. An OTG cable+mouse doesn't work, no mouse pointer shown, also after turning off and on the phone (tried this OTG+mouse on other phone, and it works well).
And tried the suggested "myxperia.sonymobile.com" service...which is redirected to Google/android/ find...there is option to Lock the phone, no "Change PIN"! If I can change the PIN to use only 1-6 numbers, the phone can be unlocked. Where is the Cahnge PIN method in the myXperia service??
Even to use the software repair, the phone has to be unlocked...
Would anyone please tell me where the Change PIN option in the myXperia service is??? Help!!!
I'm sorry to hear about the issue, but you could try a different USB OTG cable and/or mouse > make sure to restart after connecting the cable
As for the option to change the pin Google removed the feature.
Thank you very much for the advice...
Tried with another OTG cable and mouse with turning off and on the mobile (Z3 with android 6) without any success;-(
These OTG+mouse work right away with friend's android 8 phones.
Thank you anyway...
Yes, I can charge the phone. And the phone is still working properly, I can see the messages on the lockscreen....just that I cannot unlock it with the half-dead touchscreen.
