Airplay issues from MacBook Pro to Sony XBR75X950H

MacBook Pro to new Sony XBR75X950H.  I am getting an error message that Airplay is not available on this device when trying to connect to the TV via Airplay. It goes so far as to show a code on the TV but when entering the code I get the error message. 
Any ideas?

Is the software of your TV up-to-date?

From what I can tell it needs an update but is not automatically updating as I guess my TV hasn’t gotten the go ahead roll out yet.
I tried to install it via usb flash drive but it didn’t recognize it.
Do I have to unzip the file?

Yes, unzipping the file is important. And so is making sure the file size matches the size listed on the Sony website on the update page.
