I've read a lot on various forums but I haven't found a solution to this.
When I try to use ITV Hub I can usually get to the first set of adverts but then the playback just stops. If I try and stop and then resume from where I left off I get the privilage of watching the adverts again but it doesn't get to the programme.
This is only on my Sony Bravia KD-49X8305C. I can watch online or on a firestick without issue. My TV is up to date with firmware V5.433. My ISP is Vodafone. I tried watching through a VPN but that didn't work either.
I used to have the same problem with All4 but it seemed to get resolved with a software update.
Are there any fixes here? Its very frustrating as I get this TV for its 'Smart' features and figured that an Adroid would be a good bet but I've never not had issues like these.
Ive got a brand new KD55 A8 (december 2020) and exactly the same happens.
Sometimes it will play again when I press resume, sometimes it won't, and I have to start the program again and fast forward to where I was when it froze. Very frustrating.
Hey guys, try the following steps:
-Unplug the TV and the router from the mains for two minutes.
-Make sure u have your TV's latest software version.
-Try clearing cache from the settings.
-Try a hotspot from your phone.
-Try FR.
Thanks, I'll try, but as Trevor10 says, I'm not holding out much hope.

From what I see it's not on Sony TVs only, check what Tromanienko said, did anyone try contacting ITV support? Also, make sure the app has no cache in the settings.
Me too. Help!!
Model is: KD-65XD8599 and Software Version is: PKG5.433.0183EUB
The TV takes ages between channels to change channel and is very unreactive to commands with huge lags. Is there a way to make it faster; maybe expand the memory? Would that be useful; can it even be done?
