Hi,
So as of today no sound is coming out of my X900h tv when using PS5:
- Sound does come out from other apps on the tv (i.e. netflix etc..)
- Picture is all fine
- I am using the HDMI3 eArc/Arc port
- the sound does come back if i change the HDMI signal format from "Enhanced format" to "Enhanced format (Dolby vision)" . however, this then means i cannot play my games at 120hz which is a big point of a few of the games i play
- I am running the latest firmware on both ( just checked there are no outstanding updates).
I have tried switching everything off, swapping cords etc but to no avail.
Any suggestion on how to fix this?
Thanks!
Use HDMI 4. The arc one is more for soundboard etc. Also long press the off button then click restart once you have done it. I use PS5 in HDMI 4. Never had an issue
Hi,
If possible please try to change the audio output settings of your PS5 (sorry, cannot verify if this is possible since I don't own a PS5).
Cheers
Peter
I was under the impression that the 120hz only works on HDMI3?
Have tried the long press /restart to no avail.
This is a known issue which Sony is already working on and you've actually stumbled upon the officially suggested workaround.
Also, both HDMI 3 and 4 support all of the gaming features according to Sony.
Hope this helps!
