Sony Handycam Hi8 CCD-TR2000E

Hi. I have just ‘found’ my old CCD-TR2000E Sony handycam with loads of Hi 8 tapes of my son when he was a baby. I want to transfer them to digital and would like to know if the format is 4:3 or 16:9. I have searched for a manual but the only one available is a similar model which has a format switch button (which mine does not have). I have looked though all the available menu options but there doesn’t seem to be any options which leads to to think it might be just 4:3. Any help would be most appreciated.

It is 4:3 format with this model.
