Dab to Dab+
Hi,
I bought a Dab/FM radio, the ST-STB900, in the UK back when Dab+ was just a twinkle in the eye of a compression artist .. (so to speak). The radio is great, but here in Norway it will be obsolete in under a year when Dab+ is pretty much the only way to listen to radio. I'm loath to buy any of the boxes around thats called radio, they certainly dont match with my Roksan equipment, where the Sony radio fits in beautifully.
Hence my question - is there any way of upgrading the ST-STB900 to cater for Dab+ without too much hassle - a chip change or similar ?
Much appreciate to hear,
Svein Birkeland

Hi there
Unfortunately i dont believe its possible to just add a DAB+ chipset into it. More to it than that. The ST-STB900 came out around 2005? So one could say it has faired a lot better in terms of life than manynother modern kit. Unfortunately that is the price of technology booming - its contantly changing.
I also dont like much of the styles of radios out there at the moment - many going for the 'retro' look.
Have you thought of a Net Radio instead? Just a thought.
Cheers
