Microphone not working during calls

Hello,

When on a call (Sent or Receiving) my microphone doesn't work, the other person cannot hear me.

However if I go to speaker phone they hear me fine.

The microphone works fine in diagnostics.

I haven't downloaded any apps recently.

Is there an easy fix to this?

I am having the same problem. Works for call, not for voice recording(WhatsApp etc...) So frustrating!

My M5 mic was not working until I unticked the "block offensive words" Google>settings>voice>block offensive words

Hi, I had this problem with the microphone as well but fortunately it got solved by your idea (Google voice..), but that means I can't use the 'ok google' function anymore, so is there a way to turn it back on and the microphone would still work properly?

Hi, 

I'm having this issue with my Sony Experia Ultra XA1. I don't see the Google voice settings, or the Microphone noise suppression. Is there an alternate name in Ultra XA1 for the same settings that may be causing the voice issue?
