Hi All,
I have logged in Gmail in my phone when I bought it. Since then it is logged in. It is like my gmail can be accessed by anyone who has my mobile and mails downloaded can be viewed/opened offline.
But I do not know "how to logout from my gmail account".
Thanks

Hi uniro
how did you get around it in the end? I am having the same problem when trying to log in after clearing cache also not being able to remove the account I no longer want to log in as.
the problem was I had two gmail accounts, when I upgraded to android 2.1 I logged in on the wrong google account losing all my paid apps so I'm trying to log in as the origional one.
cleared cache/data but stuck there.
Hi Solomons,
Well..I really do not remember which 'services' I cleared cache exactly but I did this to a lot of services whichever seems to be connected to google or mail services.
One more thing:
There is an option to use more than one google account.
Settings -> Account & Sync -> Add an account
Try that and see if this gives you a work-around.

Well I managed to sync to my other googlemail account but android market is still logging in as the one I don't use by adding and syncing to the account I actually use and have all my paid for apps on.
I even tried changing the password of the account I don't want so market couldn't log in with it, it gives me the option to enter a new password saying "You entered the wrong password or your account has changed. Please re-enter your password." but wont allow me to edit the username.
Failing that it puts me into an endless cycle of entering and jumbled blurred letters
I am on SONY Xperia Go. I went to Settings> Accounts> Gmail > selected my account> and touched the "settings" touch sensor on my phone (the first from the right) and there was a menu indicating I could delete my account.
Select Google Settings on your phone -> Search & Now -> Google Account ->Sign out
