pc companion gets stuck and quick launch still no go with out three or four press

Why does my PC companion get stuck while saying "preparing computer for software update" when i am trying to repair my phone software? Even i can guess this is related to either permission problem or 64bit/32bit windows versioning problem so how come sony hasn't fixed this bug even in their

latest PC companion? it is just a shame. also i am tired of reading about people mentioning the camera quick launch problem but i have seen no solution yet. does any body have any idea ( i mean the general public. sony obviously has no idea). all in all who wants to buy my xperia s

that's not PCC that's your computer's firewall and/or antivirus, I have 32bit and 64bit win7, xp and vista and it work just fine.

quick launch it does work, what is your issue with quick launch?

Hey,

In regards to your quick launch issue, its a known bug under ICS. However, with the latest firmware release, 2.55, the quick launch bug is really fixed.

Try to do a manual update if your PCC does not update a newer firmware. This is a fairly easy process that you do with Flashtool.

Visit XDA forums under xperia S section for the 2.55 firmware download and for instructions. Good luck

Thankyou for the reply guys. In regards PCC well if it works for many then there must be some thing

wrong with my computer. But in regrads to quick launch , i have been chhecking with SUS and PCC but they both report i am on the latest firmware but my version is still 2.45. Do you guys know anything about the update (if there is any after 2.45) not being released to german O2 subs?

I used SUS and updated my firmware to 2.45 and quick launch seems to work. but PC companion is still a no go for me. NO matter , i have seen other posts discussing about PC companion so i declare this post closed
