phone not able to detect otg cable

i bought a otg cable for my new sony experiia u. as i connect my otg cable to phone the light below the phone flashes up but none of the pendrives r working on it. i even tried to change my otg cable but it was unable to process. please kindly give me a better solution for that

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!

Have you tried using a file manager and see if it can access the unit you connect? Must be a usb-memory, won't support an external HDD I'm afraid.

Have you tried using ES File Explorer to try and view your data using the OTG cable.

I find that mine works very well on the XPU, I have used USB drives and a gamepad with it.
