Phone won't charge?

Using the plug and usb cable provided by Sony, my phone is refusing to charge. The battery hit 0% whilst the charger was in and it's obviously drained it. Now when I plug the charger in, the red charging light appears, as normal, but the phone just isn't charging. Every so often I get the "SONY" logo screen appear and it's as though the phone is trying to generate enough power to turn on but can't quite get there. I'm not sure if this is covered by my warranty and was looking for some help.

Managed to fix this myself in the end by downloaded the SUS and then somehow managed to boot it in safe mode which has fixed the charging problem for now.
