I have the latest version of Sony Bridge for Mac and tried to transfer a large movie file (4GB) via this app to my phone. After 2 seconds the transfer was finished, but no file on the phone. I tried several times, but it did not work. There is enough space on the phone, so this is not the problem.
How can I transfer this file to my phone ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Convert your movie to mp4 to reduce the size of your file.
Try transfering the file uisng a windows machice and check what hapns, also try connecting using the WFI option avaliable in PC companion not sure if same is avaliable on bridge.
it seems that Android has a limit, you can ONLY transer 2GB at a time, I don't think it's worth it to use up 4GB of internal storage for a movie, use formatfactory on a PC to change the format and reduce it's size.

another alternative buy an OTG USB cable and use a low voltage flashdrive or micro sd usb adapter and you can put as many files as you want there w/o using your internal storage

I managed to size the file down to 1,9 GB and that worked.
Is this a limitation of the Sony Bridge for Mac ? Or is this a limitation of the file system ?
Anyway, transferring via USB takes ages.
Is there a faster way ?
Finally got an OTG cable. That works good, though some lagging for big files, e.g. when I have a 3 GB film on a stick and want to see it on my phone, there a re some small dropouts here and there.
