Unable to upgrade to Android 4.1

Hi,

I try to update to the latest firmware but I am stuck in the update process.

I am supposed to unplug the usb, turn off the off and replug it with the down volume pressed. However I follow those steps, the phone is never recognized and I can not move to the next step.

When I follow the instruction I get the charging mode (battery+lightning) on the phone. Is this what I am supposed to get?

first press down the volume down button THEN while still holding connect the usb cable

also disable your firewall and/or antivirus
