What happened to the Silent mode for the Sony Arc after the 2.3.4 update?

HI,

I used to get the "Silent" profile option in the "Status Switch" widget that comes with the phone by default but after the update, it appears that the silent option for the widget is missing?  I only get the Normal Profile and Vibrating Profile but not the silent.  The only way to access the Silent Mode is if I go into Settings>Sound>SIlent Mode.  Is there a quicker way to turn the phone into Silent Mode?

it is still available, go to settings -> about phone; which build number do you have?

Hmm, I'm clicking through my sister's phone and on her Status Switch widget and I see all 3 profiles and she didn't do the update yet.

My build is 4.0.2.A.0.42

Thanks for the suggestion but can anyone else confirm if they are getting the same thing after the update? Go to your Widgets, choose "Status Switch" and see if you can cycle through Normal, Vibrate and Silent.  I can't ! lol.. I even tried rebooting the phone but doesn't work.  Very weird?

you could turn off your phone, remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 5seconds, put everything back, turn it back on and see if it's back

I have volume if I tap on it I get silence & vibrate.

I got it, make sure you mark the Correct & Helpful Answers

go to settings -> sound -> tap on Vibrate and select Always/never/sound on/sound off

Hmm I tried that but I can only get 2 at a time for example, Normal Profile and Vibrate or Normal Profile and Silent Profile after messing with the options you provided.  Why can't it be the same like how it was in 2.3.3 when I can cycle through all 3? Am I missing something or is my phone gone wacky after the update?

it is the update, sometimes SE don't include some widgets, like the power control, or they mess with others, but there are myriad options on the market that will do just that

Well thanks for the help though, I guess nothing I can do except get another app to the the same functions.
