Hi all.
Interesting question. I've just got an xperia z and was wondering if anybody knew of any plans by Sony to update the firmware of the 2012 model Bravia's to be compatible with screen mirroring? I can do the wifi direct throw function without a problem, but it's just not the same.

Unfortunately no. The mirroring feature supports Wifi Miracast and you need extra hardware like the
netgear PTV3000. Some TV manufacturer are selling their own like Panasonic. Don't know for Sony yet.
