My screen goes blank and standby flashes red 2 times stops for 2 seconds then flashes red 2 times on so on this happens after only 3 mins of watching tv any ideas please

2 flashes on this model generally means the lamp cover is open (Have you replaced the lamp recently)?
If everything looks O.K. then possibly a visit to service is necessary.
