Connection to TV

I am trying to connect my VGN-FJ1Z/W to my TV, but don't know how. My VIAO does not have S-Video

I am afraid there is no easy (cheap) solution as the only video output you have is your VGA monitor socket. If your TV does not have a VGA input, you could try to get a VGA to S-Video cable but I don't know if this will work (depends on scan rates).

You can get a converter like THIS ONE which is not cheap. This will allow you to play DVDs on your TV via s-video. If you want the 'bees-knees' try this WIRELESS VGA TO TV SYSTEM (expensive!!)

If you want to record TV onto your laptop, you will need a TV TUNER CARD
