VGN-NW20EF @ key not working properly

I have a VGN-NW20EF laptop and the @ key does not work with the Right-shift.

Everything else works with the Right-shift, and the @ key works with the Left-shift.

I have uninstalled the keyboard driver and re-booted, upon which the driver has been re-installed, without any change.

Has anybody got any ideas how I can get it working with the Right-shift?

welcome to the Sony User Community..

It has been a while since I used windows..

If everything else is working correctly with the right Shift key  and the @ works as expected with the left shift key, then it wouldn’t appear to be a faulty key, per se..

Did this happen recently, if so had you recently made any changes prior to the problem??

You state you’ve already uninstalled the keyboard drivers and restated them, have you tried booting into safe mode??

if not try this to see if the problem still appears..

Try connecting an external keyboard, if you have one, or borrow one, do you still have the same issue??

Also try using the virtual on screen keyboard, that should be found within accessibility tools..do you still have the same problem??

Also try running the windows Keyboard troubleshooting tool which should be found within control panel > troubleshooting..

Hopefully this will help you to narrow down where the issue lies..
